"Another way to promote productivity and positive energy is to always sit facing the doorway."

Another way to promote productivity and positive energy is to always sit facing the doorway.  If your desk is in a corner facing the wall you can not see what is going on around you and therefore you may be creating an uncomfortable environment for yourself.  Not knowing who's coming up behind you can be very distracting.  In addition to facing forward you should also try to make a habit of grabbing the seat furthest to the back of the room when attending meetings or conferences.  Of course, facing the door.  By doing this you are open to all the energy flowing through the room and you will have a full view of what is taking place all around you.  Surprises are nice, but save them for the parties.
Escape the Stress
Stress...its inevitable.  No one can escape it, but we can take steps to try an eliminate as much as possible.  Whether an avid believer in Feng Shui or not, everyone should have a place where they can go to relieve stress, somewhere peaceful, calming, and void of any tension causing elements.  You may not have any place in the office where this is possible so take a walk, enjoy the sun, sit under a tree and read.  Make time for whatever it is that makes you feel relaxed; even 15 minutes a day can make a difference for your health, your well being, and your ability to get your job done to the best of your ability.  Try these simple practices and you decide, is it a fad?

For some, Feng Shui has become a way of life.
